Meet Lexi

Lexi is an attractive mare with a lovely temperament who is looking for a home as a companion. Due to soundness issues when previously brought into work Lexi can never be ridden. She gets on well with others and she is very loyal to her equine friends. She is happiest in a regular routine with clear boundaries, this ensures she feels secure in her environment. Lexi can sometimes get anxious if her routine changes so she will need a calm, confident handler to boost her confidence. She would suit a home with other horses as she doesn't like to be on her own and can live out 24/7 or could be stabled part time as long as she can see her friends. Although Lexi can have normal grazing Autumn/winter, she will need her grazing managing spring/summer to prevent obesity.

Important stuff

Lexi can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Lexi is not suitable to be worked.

History

Lexi came into our care in 2010 with several others. All were in an emaciated condition with overgrown feet. The owners were later prosecuted by the RSPCA. Lexi has been successfully rehomed in the past and is now ready to find a new home.
