In 2019, World Horse Welfare took over the coordination of Advancing Equine Scientific Excellence (AESE) from the British Equestrian Federation (BEF). The initiative was launched in 2011 and aims to promote excellence in industry-relevant equine research.

AESE Equine End of Life Collaborative Project
Between 2014 and 2017 a collaborative project was undertaken to find out more about equine end of life, with support from The Donkey Sanctuary, World Horse Welfare, British Equestrian Federation (BEF), and Alltech. You can download the summary of the project’s findings here.
