Webinar: Straight from the horse’s mouth: Essential equine dental care
On Wednesday 31 January at 7pm, we will be discussing all things tooth and mouth related.
Posted on 24/01/2024

For our latest Welfare Wednesday Webinar we welcome experts in equine dental care. Vet Stuart Altoft, who treats the horses at our Glenda Spooner Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Somerset, will begin by examining routine care and common equine dental problems. The discussion will then turn to lesser-known dental issues and managing dental care in the veteran horse population.
Stuart will then be joined by the British Association of Equine Dental Technicians (BAEDT) chairman, James Arkley, to answer your tooth related questions in a live Q&A session.
As always, by registering for our webinars through Zoom, you will be able to take part in the various polls, ask questions during the Q&A and enjoy an interactive experience.
Our incredibly popular webinars have grown to over 50 thought-provoking subjects and all are available free to view on our newly updated advice pages. Topics this year have included such diverse themes as social media and horse welfare, managing arthritic changes in ridden horses, understanding aggression and nutrition myths and marketing.
