Meet Pedals

Found tied to a fence and a rusty bicycle, this poor little filly was callously abandoned with no access to food or water and was lucky to survive. Despite the shocking start to her young life, Pedals as she is now known, is proving to be an absolute sweetheart. Her willing nature and eagerness to please makes her a very easy pony to handle in every way. Pedals is one of the kindest, most lovable characters you could wish for. She is a very wise and chilled out pony for such a youngster and nothing seems to faze her. She quickly became a firm favourite with the grooms and her new friends in the herd. Pedals is a trotter pacer type and due to her conformation will never be suitable to ride. However, her superb temperament and laid back attitude to life makes her the perfect non-ridden field companion to another equine. Pedals is now looking for a loving home where she will be cherished and valued for the little gem she truly is.

Important stuff

Pedals can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Pedals is not suitable to be worked.

History

When she was found tied to a fence and a bicycle that was wrapped in barbed wire, Pedals was emaciated and had no access to food or water. If she had not been discovered when she was, it is unlikely she would have survived much longer. Her owner was never traced.
