Rolo

Meet Rolo

Rolo originally arrived at Hall Farm as a RSPCA prosecution case. She quickly found a lovely new home where she remained for 10 years and she was only reluctantly returned following a change in her rehomers circumstances. Rolo is a sweet little pony who loves a fuss. She is very food orientated and is always hopeful treats may be on offer, although this is something that should be limited to avoid getting her into bad habits. Rolo is generally good to handle with a willing nature. However, she is not the bravest pony and she does get nervous and unsettled in new situations. She will look to her companions for reassurance so she is better if she always has a friend around. Rolo gains weight very easily and she will need to share her grazing with others with similar dietary requirements. Rolo is not suitable to ride but she can still provide a valuable role as a non-ridden companion to others of all ages.

Important stuff

Rolo can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Rolo is not suitable to be worked.

History

Rolo came to Hall Farm as a welfare concern in 2014 when she was just 6 months old. She was recently returned from loan after 10 years following a change in circumstances of her rehomer.
