Fundraising star Ella raised a super £200 for our charity. She recently took on a massive challenge to cycle 5 kilometres, hack for 5k with her World Horse Welfare pony Jerry, swim for 500m and then a 500m run – all in one day! Thank you so much Ella, you worked so hard to fundraise for our charity.

Louise Kettlety raised £51 at an open farm day. She took World Horse Welfare rescue ponies Tiny and Stan to an open farm Sunday to raise awareness of our charity and hosted a fundraising game. Thank you Louise!

A massive thank you to 4 Acres Pony Rides who kindly held an Easter Egg Raffle in aid of our charity and raised a fabulous total of £162. Millie and Suzanne visited Hall Farm with their donation and were met by Clover who was very interested to see what Millie and Suzanne brought in for us. Thank you, we really appreciate your support.

Our friends at Westgate Labs walked an impressive 25 miles to raise funds for us and celebrate their 25th anniversary. In 55,800 steps and with 18 finishers (+ 3 canine friends), the team raised an impressive £2,400 for our charity! Huge congratulations, and thank you, for your incredible  
Effort.

Students at Oaklands College in St Albans hosted a charity show as part of their equine course, and raised a grand total of £753.95. They said: “We are all so passionate about horses we chose to donate the funds to World Horse Welfare.” Enormous thanks to you all.

Emily Bichard raised a super £213.60 at the Torphins Gala in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire by running a games stall and a horse quiz. She said: “I was inspired to raise money for World Horse Welfare after visiting Belwade Farm many times. I loved being there and hearing about all of the work that goes into saving and helping horses live the best live they can. I really enjoyed running the stall and I’m so happy that we managed to raise money for an incredible charity.” Thank you Emily, you are truly amazing!

Kezia Roby-Welford organised a charity run for a group from the University of Nottingham Riding Club, raising a wonderful total of £441.25 – thank you to everyone who took part.

Zoe Linington visited our Norfolk Rescue and Rehoming Centre where she presented us with a cheque for £500. Zoe took part in Equine Register’s research project with The Royal Veterinary College to record her rides with her horse Dante, a 16.3hh Warmblood x Irish Sport Horse – and was entered into their quarterly prize draw, winning £500 for herself and £500 for her equine charity of choice. A huge thank you to Zoe, Equine Register and The Royal Veterinary College.

The Arabian Supporters Ball raised a super £1,325.20 for us from their raffle and a percentage of bar proceeds. A further £200 was donated to us by a member of the group who sold a raffle prize she won – thank you to you all!

Thank you to Georgia, Ailsa and Aubrey who raised £74 at a school bake sale at their primary school in Monymusk, Aberdeenshire. They visited Belwade Farm to present their cheque to the team and brought carrots for the horses and ponies in our care.

Kelly Jay, our superstar fundraiser, was out and about again at Hirsts Farm Dressage and her friend Anna baked and sold cakes to support her. She raised a whopping £254.60 which her employer will match fund.

A big thank you for CIAT Elveden (Concours International d’Attelage de Tradition) who ran a vintage carriage driving event, raising a fantastic £200 for us. World Horse Welfare horse Yogi was part of the team on the day. Thank you so much, your support is always very much appreciated.

Sutherland Riding Club raised a fabulous £300 towards our work at their annual Charity Show which hosted in-hand, ridden and fancy-dress classes – a huge thank you to you all.

Darcey Flanagan raised an amazing £85 by making bracelets. She visited Hall Farm in Norfolk where she spent the day meeting some of our horse and ponies and received a certificate for her fundraising efforts. Thank you Darcey, we hope to see you back at Hall Farm soon!

Our brilliant Assistant Manager at Belwade farm in Aberdeenshire, Caroline heard, undertook a huge fundraising challenge by trekking the Accursed Alps in Albania. Caroline raised almost £1,000 and many of her training miles were covered with her trusty whippet Feste.

The Wimbledon Village Stables Annual Charity Ball raised a staggering £12,269.91 for us through their prize draw and silent auction – a huge thank you to you all for your continued support!

Our supporters at Westgate Labs completed a 15-mile walk along the Northumberland coastal path from Craster to Amble, raising £677.50 – thank you all so much!
Supporter Kerry May took part in a Hack 50 initiative in the summer and raised a magnificent £522.06. Thank you so much Kerry!

Young supporter Gracie has raised an amazing £300 by walking a marathon in one day, from Fleetwood through Blackpool to St Annes and back again. Very well done Gracie!

Inspirational supporter Lyn Gower, self-described “Grandma Goes Eventing”, completed her first BE80 at the age of 71 and very kindly decided to fundraise for us in the process as her beautiful mare Erin is a rescue horse. Thank you so much and very well done Lyn!

Regular collection tin holder and supporter fundraiser extraordinaire Sue Izzard donated £54.00 from this particular event. Sue has supported us since 2012 and, incredibly, has raised over £2,157 in that time. Thank you so much Sue!
