Taurus

Meet Taurus

Taurus is ready to rehome as a non ridden companion due to not taking to ridden work. Taurus is a lovely lad, who has a friendly character, but he can be a little sensitive at times. He is a very kind pony, who is very good to catch, handle, groom, bath and for the vet and farrier. He gets on very well with others, and is currently living out unrugged with shelter, within a group of geldings but has lived with mares before. He is happy to come in to a stable for a fuss and a groom and for weight management. Taurus is a good doer so would be better suited to a home with other equines of similar needs who need their grazing restricted. He doesn't like being left on his own, so will need a home where he has the company of another equine at all times. Taurus could do some inhand groundwork and go out for inhand walks to help with his weight and give him variety in his day. If you can offer Taurus a home, please apply online.

Important stuff

Taurus can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Taurus is not suitable to be worked.

History

Taurus came in to World Horse Welfare within a small group after their owner could no longer look after them.
