Meet Ruby May (Liquorice)

Ruby May requires an experienced and quiet handler who can help to continue to build her confidence. She can become anxious at times which in turn can make her strong although we feel this is totally manageable for an experienced person. Ruby May gets on well with most in her herd although she prefers a quiet life. She is better suited to a mare only herd as she tends to come into season more frequently when around geldings and this in turn can change her behaviour. Ruby May could be backed in the future providing her rehomer has previous experience of this. If ridden, Ruby May would have a maximum rider weight limit of 7.5 to 8 stones.

Important stuff

This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.

Ruby May (Liquorice) could be worked in the future.

History

Ruby May came into our care with her 2 year old daughter after we were asked to help in a very difficult situation.
