Meet Elusive Artist (Artie)

Lovable Artie is now looking for his new home as a non-ridden companion, due to a re-occurring multi-limb lameness when in work. Artie is a very playful gelding who always wants to know what is going on around the yard and always looking for a pal to play with. Artie is well behaved to catch and lead, and he enjoys coming in for a pamper and nosey in the barn. Due to his playful nature he can some days have a short attention span, so he would enjoy enrichment activities to keep his mind busy if in for a long period of time. Artie gets on well with all of his friends and is happy to stay out 24/7 with a rug in the winter or come in and be stabled with a friend, he is definitely a horse that thrives on routine. All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Elusive Artist (Artie) is not suitable to be worked.

History

Artie came into our care in 2024 as a welfare concern.
