Meet Sole

Sole is now looking for her new home as a companion. Sole is very good to handle but needs to be given time so she can build up a bond with her handler, so we are looking for a rehomer who is happy to give Sole lots of time and confidence while settling in to her new home. Sole enjoys walking out in hand and long reining with her groom and could participate in horse agility or learn to ride and lead. Sole likes her own space and is quite independent but lives happily in a small group of mares on restricted grazing. She could stable part time and could learn to be left for short periods in the right home and with a rehomer who is happy to introduce this gradually.

Important stuff

Sole can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Sole is not suitable to be worked.

History

Sole was a welfare concern in October 2020. Her owner had over 100 unhandled equines and the numbers were increasing and out of control.
